Texas Medicaid Medication Therapy Management Pilot Reports ROI Of $3 Savings For Each $1 Spent
During the first five months of operations, the Texas Medicaid Medication Therapy Management (MTM) pilot program generated a return on investment (ROI) of $3 in avoided additional health care utilization costs for each $1 spent on the program services and administration. The MTM is a wellness program designed to build collaboration between physicians, pharmacists, and patients with hypertension and other chronic health conditions who take at least four maintenance medications.
