7.1% of Veterans Use Blue Button Download; RelayHealth Adopts Blue Button Technology & Wins VA Contest

More than 430,000 veterans, or 7.1% of the 6 million veterans who receive care through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), have downloaded their health care claims data via the VA's "Blue Button" initiative since it launched in August 2010. The VA had anticipated only about 25,000 downloads annually. The Blue Button system is a tool for veterans to download, store, or print their personal health and medical information to share with their health care professionals. From the MyHealtheVet site, veterans can use the Blue Button tool to download demographic information, emergency contacts, lists of prescription . . .
