PPACA Medicaid Expansion Projected To Raise State Medicaid Costs By Less Than 3%
If all states expanded their Medicaid programs to cover low-income, uninsured, childless adults, state Medicaid spending would increase from $2,679 billion in 2013 to $2,756 billion in 2022 (on a non-inflation adjusted basis), of $76 billion higher, or about three percent for the decade.
