Southern California Pilot Testing Hospital-Based Navigators For High-Cost Homeless Consumers

Los Angeles County, California saved $2 for each $1 spent on a hospital-based screening and homeless navigator program to identify the 10% of homeless patients with the highest public and hospital costs and connect them with permanent housing and supportive services. This pilot screening program is the Risk-Based Housing Initiative, part of the Economic Roundtable's ongoing 10th Decile Project.
