Alaska Launches SeniorCare Program

January 5, 2004 Alaska Launches SeniorCare Program On December 17, 2003, Alaska Governor Frank H. Murkowski announced the launch of SeniorCare, a new program to make prescription drugs more affordable for Alaska seniors. “SeniorCare will provide qualified seniors with a prescription drug benefit to assist in the purchase of needed medications,” Governor Murkowski said. The SeniorCare project will also include a new senior information office and a preferred drug list to make prescription drugs more affordable. “SeniorCare will help low income seniors who do not otherwise qualify for public assistance – the people with greatest needs,” said Alaska Department of Health . . .
