January 5, 2004 Alaska Launches SeniorCare Program On December 17, 2003, Alaska Governor Frank H. Murkowski announced the launch of SeniorCare, a new program to make prescription drugs more affordable for Alaska seniors. “SeniorCare will provide qualified seniors with a prescription drug benefit to assist in the purchase of needed medications,” Governor Murkowski said.
