February 26, 2001 Minnesota Lawmakers Want Answers on Denied Mental Health Claims The Minnesota Legislative Audit Commission is asking the state to gather new information on whether insurance plans are routinely denying legitimate mental health and chemical dependency claims and passing the costs on to the government. Some Commission members say they were disappointed and frustrated with a 10-month study released in February 2001, which looked into the matter but was inconclusive.
