March 17, 2003 New Crisis Facility Opens In Anoka County, Minnesota A new four-bed facility has opened in February 2003 in Anoka County, Minnesota for individuals diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness who are in need of crisis services, but do not require hospital service. Before the opening of this facility, individuals that were in crisis were forced to be admitted to a locked psychiatric ward at a local hospital.
