March 26, 2001 Wyoming Pilots Medicaid Program for ALFs Wyoming enacted a bill in March 2001 that authorizes the Department of Health to apply for a Medicaid waiver for reimbursement of care provided in assisted living facilities (ALFs). The Wyoming Department of Health will apply to the secretary of the Federal Department of Health and Human Services for approval of a waiver, which will authorize the state to conduct a pilot project for reimbursing ALF services. The project would extend through the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001, and would provide $855,083 in state funds and $1,432,917 . . .
