New Jersey Program for Disabled Children to End

March 29, 2004 New Jersey Program for Disabled Children to End Mercer County (New Jersey) officials announced on March 10, 2004, that Project Child, which has provided therapy to disabled county infants and toddlers for almost 30 years, will shut down at the end of June 2004, forcing about 250 families to seek help elsewhere for their children. "It's very difficult to have to close down this program, but the state is changing its funding mechanism and it just is not economically feasible for us to continue," said Charles Murray, superintendent of the Mercer County Special Services School District . . .
