May 8, 2006 HCA, Inc. Acquires Tennessee Christian Medical Center for $19.7 Million On March, 31, 2006, Health Corporation of America, Inc. (HCA) completed acquisition of Tennessee Christian Medical Center (TCMC) and Portland Medical Center from Adventist Health System for $19.7 million. On April 1, 2006, HCA announced plans to focus the recently acquired 273-bed hospital in Madison, Tennessee, on behavioral health and rehabilitation. The facilities include the hospital, a 95,000-square-foot medical office building, and a therapy center for rehabilitation and behavioral services.
