May 30, 2005 Cost-Sharing for EarlySteps Program Proposed in Louisiana In order to save money in a program that is currently spending $10 million more that it was budgeted, the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals proposed on May 20, 2005 that some families share the cost of the EarlySteps Program. The program currently provides no-cost early intervention services to children up to age three with developmental delays and disabilities.
