June 5, 2000OIG Finds Billing Errors For Psychiatric Services The Office of Inspector General's (OIG) Office of Audit Services determined that Medicare should not have reimbursed 100% of the services included in the 100 sample claims submitted by the Medicare partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Mental Health Corporation in Denver, Colorado. OIG estimates that $4,447,607 of the charges for PHP services for the FY 1996 did not meet Medicare requirements.
