June 11,  2007 Illinois Law Seeks to Increase Regulation and Control of In-Store Health Clinics The Illinois State Medical Society is backing a state law (HB 1885) that calls for increased regulation and monitoring of medical clinics located in retail settings within the state. Introduced by Rep. Michael P. McAuliffe in February 2007, the “Retail Health Care Facility Permit Act” would require retail health clinics in Illinois to have more physician supervision and limited advertising.
