June 12, 2006 Maine Extends Contracts & Issues RFPs to Implement Medicaid Managed Behavioral Health System The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is in the process of developing a request for proposals (RFP) to be issued in the summer of 2006 for risk-based managed care behavioral health care services that are projected to start in early 2007. The contract resulting from this RFP will provide for a single managed care vendor to manage behavioral health services for MaineCare.
