Health maintenance organizations (HMO) are seeking 13.7% increases from large employers, on average, for 2005 coverage, down from an average increase of 17.5% at this time in 2003. However, those increases will be pushed down to ten percent or lower as employers bargain with insurers over the next few months, Hewitt Associates (Hewitt) said in its new survey of managed care prices.
