Ohio Proposes Moving To Agency-Only Approach For DD & Aging Waiver Supports By 2019

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is planning to shift its policies for most of its home and community-based services (HCBS) waivers, including those for individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) to only reimburse for services delivered by agency providers (in which the professionals delivering services are employed by a provider organization). The new policy will not apply to self-directed waivers.
