Mental Health Association Of Rockland County Resolves Allegations It Altered Documentation Prior To New York Medicaid Audit

On March 9, 2015, the New York Attorney General (AG) announced that Mental Health Association of Rockland County, Inc. (MHAR) had resolved allegations that its managers and employees altered records in advance of a Medicaid audit in 2009. The New York Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) audited MHAR records from 2003 through 2008 for its Continuing Day Treatment (CDT) program for adults. MHAR admitted that it had altered progress notes documenting daily CDT program hours to support claims previously submitted for reimbursement.
