MACPAC Report: Use Of Psychotropic Medications By Medicaid Beneficiaries
The report was released in March 2015 by the federal Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC). The report is a short summary of Medicaid data on psychotropic drug utilization and spending. MACPAC is in the process of analyzing the data to distinguish between short-term and long-term users. In federal fiscal year 2013, about 14% of the 71.7 million Medicaid enrollees that year used a psychotropic medication.
