Proposed Rule For Programs and Activities Authorized by the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (Title II of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act)

On April 16, 2015, the federal departments of Labor (DOL) and Education (ED) released five proposed rules to implement the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to update federal workforce programs and improve access to education and workforce services for individuals with significant barriers to employment, including individuals with disabilities, veterans, disconnected youth, and other vulnerable populations. Comments on the proposed rules will be accepted through June 15, 2015.
