Health Care Organizations Want Patient Portal Features That Improve Patient Engagement
A survey of health care organization executives found that many of these organizations want online tools for patient portals that improve patient engagement, about 70% said they wanted health evaluation and coaching tools. Another 50% were seeking telehealth visit capabilities. The top reasons cited by organizations currently using a patient portal included enhancing and improving community health (77%); building brand loyalty for patients (77%), and meeting meaningful use requirements (60%).
