New York Awards Support Services Contract To Abilities First
The New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Taconic District, Region 3, awarded a contract for permanent residential placement and day services to Abilities First, Inc. on December 31, 2014. Through the contract, Abilities First will provide individualized support services for up to nine individuals who are participating in the OPWDD Money Follows the Person (MFP) program, including four former residents of the state-run Cedar Knolls intermediate care facility (ICF) The contract value is $236,000 per person annually; the contract runs as long as the individuals remain at the Abilities First residence.
