July 10, 2006 GE Healthcare to Buy Six Senior Housing Portfolios for $1.4 Billion On June 26, 2006, General Electric Company’s GE Healthcare Financial Services signed a $1.4 billion agreement to acquire six senior housing portfolios from Formation Capital LLC that feature facilities located in “certificate of need” (CON) states. The transaction will add more than 21,000 beds in 186 nursing homes to the firm’s real estate portfolio.
