New York Medicaid Launches Passive Enrollment In Duals Demonstration
On April 1, 2015, the New York State Medicaid program launched passive enrollment in the New York City area for the state’s Fully Integrated Duals Advantage (FIDA) demonstration program. For the FIDA demonstration specialized health plans will provide all Medicare and Medicaid benefits, including prescription drugs through Medicare Part D, and managed long-term care. Opt-in voluntary enrollment for residents of Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Queens, and Richmond counties began January 1, 2015. Passive enrollment will continue in these counties until all eligible individuals are enrolled.
