August 27, 2001 First Health Group Buys CCN and Announces CCN President First Health Group Corporation announced on August 16, 2001 that it completed its acquisition of CCN, a San Diego, California-based managed care firm. First Health bought CNN from HCA Inc. for $195 million in cash. The company also announced that Patrick G. Dills will be the new president of CCN, effective immediately.
