September 3, 2001 New Live-In Drug and Alcohol Addiction Care Center Opens in California The Stanislaus Recovery Center opened in Ceres, California in August 2001, to provide counseling and other services for drug and alcohol addicts. The center also has a live-in program for women with young children and a program to help teenage addicts and their parents. The new center occupies the old Memorial Hospital on its 15-acre grounds. It was purchased by Stanislaus County in 1999 for $1.9 million, and, subsequently, the property underwent about $2 million in renovations. There is room for 13 . . .
