September 10, 2007 Missouri DMH Changes Plan for Bellefontaine Habilitation CenterOn August 30, 2007, the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) announced a change in its plans for Bellefontaine Habilitation Center; it now seeks four private vendors to operate group homes for the 120 to 130 residents at the Bellefontaine Habilitation Center (BHC) campus, rather than privatize BHC operations. A request for proposals will be released in mid-September 2007 and services are expected to begin in February 2008.
