To Merge With North American Senior Care On October 3, 2005, Beverly Enterprises, Inc., (BEI) announced a settlement with Arkansas' attorney general (AG), which has paved the way for BEI to merge with North American Senior Care (NASC). BEI settled with the AG by agreeing to pay $1.5 million to end 26 investigations into allegations of mistreatment and neglect of residents at 12 of BEI's nursing homes.
