October 10, 2005 SAMHSA Awards $92.5 Million To Seven States for Mental Health Transformation State Incentive Grants In September 2005, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) awarded $92.5 million to seven states for Mental Health Transformation State Incentive Grants (MHT SIGs). This award covers a five-year period and during that time provides the needed funding to transform delivery systems for state mental health services for Connecticut, Ohio, Oklahoma, Washington, Maryland, New Mexico and Texas.
