October 15, 2007APS Healthcare Starts $8.6 Million Behavioral Health Management Contract in Maine

APS Healthcare, Inc. (APS), has started program implementation in its $8.68 million contract with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to administer behavioral health services in the state. Services are to begin by December 1, 2007, and the contract will run through 2009. APS will provide treatment coordination, prior authorization, referrals to community services, provide follow up, utilization review, and monitor the effectiveness of services. The Maine contract will be overseen by Eric Meyer as executive director.
