October 21, 2002 Ohio Restructures Its Mental Health Delivery System The State of Ohio has implemented a statewide initiative scheduled to to be completed by the end of the year within its mental health system to improve quality, reduce costs, and insure compliance with federal requirements. SOQIC (pronounced “so quick”) is an acronym for Solutions for Ohio's Quality Improvement and Compliance. SOQIC brings together all three levels of Ohio’s mental health delivery system - Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH), Boards and Providers - in an integrated process of problem solving and decision making designed to move the system forward . . .
