October 22, 2007 Nevada Mental Health Administrator to Retire January 2008 On October 1, 2007, Carlos Brandenburg, Ph.D., administrator of Nevada's Division of Mental Health and Developmental Services (DMHDS) of the Department of Health and Human Services, announced he would retire in late January 2008. Dr. Brandenburg became administrator in 1995, serving under three governors. No replacement has been announced.
