October 25, 2004 KidsPeace Announces Closing of Seneca Wood Campus The board of directors for KidsPeace National Centers of New York announced October 4, 2004, that it is closing its Seneca Wood in Romulus (New York) Residential Educational Campus, citing low enrollment as the cause of the shutdown. The non-profit organization, which invested $27 million of its own money to provide services for the children of New York, was designed to help 223 children, yet census levels held at 150 to160 children.
