CHS to Acquire New Jersey Hospital Community Health Systems Inc.

November 19, 2001 CHS to Acquire New Jersey Hospital Community Health Systems Inc.  Coordinated Healthcare Services (CHS) announced in November 2001 that it has signed an agreement to acquire 152-bed Memorial Hospital of Salem County, New Jersey from South Jersey Health Corporation for undisclosed terms. The deal is contingent on regulatory and licensing approvals. For-profit CHS is based in Brentwood, Tennessee and operates 56 hospitals in 20 states. Not-for-profit Memorial Hospital of Salem County will be CHS' first acquisition in New Jersey.
