December 6, 2004Scott County, Iowa Jail to Expand Mental Health Court Program On November 3, 2004, the Scott County (Iowa) jail announced that it is to expand its Mental Health Jail Diversion program that serves as an alternative to police or hospital intervention for individuals with emotional or psychiatric problems. The program, which has been allotted $114,138, will further focus on individuals who are admitted to the jail, are under the complete jurisdiction of the court system, and who are experiencing mental health problems by placing them in intensive case management services.  In collaboration with the Vera French Community . . .
