December 18, 2006 Elwyn Rebrands Organization as Way to Indicate Diversity of Services Elwyn, Inc., a non-profit human service organization established in 1852, has adopted the name Elwyn and the logo Elwyn: Maximizing Potential in an effort to create public awareness of all its services, not just services for individuals with mental retardation. A corporate branding initiative and public service campaign accompany the name change. The campaign also includes 30-second television public service announcements. Elwyn serves more than 12,000 adults and children with a wide range of physical, mental, behavioral, and sensory challenges through its main campus . . .
