In just ten years, we've seen a big change in personal automation. 2002 was the year that the Roomba Vacuum Cleaner was introduced by iRobot. At the time, I was skeptical. Who would buy a robot to vacuum their carpet? The answer? Six million Americans.
This makes me just a wee bit less skeptical about using robots and automation in the delivery of clinical services. Just over the past few months, announcements of several new robots for treatment of autism have crossed my desk. Just a few examples include:
