On June 15, 2015, CVS Health Corporation and Target Corporation announced that they entered into a definitive agreement for CVS Health to acquire Target’s pharmacy and retail clinic businesses for approximately $1.9 billion. No target closing date was announced. Under the agreement, CVS Health will acquire and rebrand more than 1,660 pharmacies in Target stores across 47 states and nearly 80 Target clinic locations. All new Target stores that offer pharmacy will include a CVS/pharmacy, and within three years after the transaction closes, CVS Health plans to open up to 20 new CVS/MinuteClinics in Target . . .

CVS Health To Acquire Target Pharmacies & Retail Clinics In $1.9 Billion Deal

On June 15, 2015, CVS Health Corporation and Target Corporation announced that they entered into a definitive agreement for CVS Health to acquire Target’s pharmacy and retail clinic businesses for approximately $1.9 billion.
