Idaho To Improve Access To Community-Based Services For Children With SED In Settlement Of Class Action Suit

On June 12, 2015, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) announced it had entered a settlement agreement to improve access to community-based mental health services for children with serious emotional disturbances. The settlement is to the Jeff D. class action lawsuit filed in 1980. The settlement affects services for an estimated 9,000 youth.
