CMS Approves Ohio Request For 10-Year Shift To Conflict Free Case Management For County Board Of DD Services
On June 23, 2015, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) announced it had received federal approval of its request for a 10-year corrective action plan to implement conflict free case management. Most Ohio County Boards of Developmental Disabilities (DD) provide both case management and direct services, which is prohibited by federal Medicaid rules. The plan calls for DODD to ensure that county boards will reduce the number of Medicaid waiver enrollees directly served by boards to 30% on a statewide aggregate by 2020.
