California Senate Bill 82 Of 2015 Regarding Developmental Services

On June 24, 2015, California Governor Jerry Brown signed House Bill 82 of 2015, budget-related legislation, which includes provisions requiring the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to submit a plan to the legislature by October 1, 2015 for closing one or more developmental centers. The legislature would then approve the plan as part of the2016-2017 budget process. Any general fund savings derived from closing developmental centers would be used to benefit DDS consumers living in the community.
