Arizona Implementing New Quality Management At State Hospital
The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) is finalizing a new quality management plan for the Arizona State Hospital. The plan is part of an overall Plan of Correction approved by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on July 20, 2015. In May 2015, CMS completed a complaint validation inspection of the hospital. The inspection found “serious deficiencies” in hospital operations that CMS said put the hospital at risk of losing its Medicare certification.
