Pennsylvania Announces Next Steps In Preparation For October 2015 Medicaid Managed Long-Term Care RFP

On July 22, 2015, the Pennsylvania Departments of Human Services (DHS) and Aging (PDA) announced they were implementing several changes to the long-term care system in advance of releasing a request-for-proposals (RFP) in October 2015 to implement Medicaid managed long-term care services and supports (MLTSS). The changes include increases in staffing to improve the process of transferring beneficiaries from nursing homes, the creation of an advisory committee to lead communications about the transition, and the development of monthly webinars to update the public about the transition.
