San Diego County Adopts Change To County Mental Health Grantee Cost Accounting For Psychiatric Services

In June 2015, provider organizations holding behavioral health services contracts with San Diego County, California were informed that the county required them to change how psychiatrist services are accounted for in their grant reports – from independent contractors to direct sub-awardees. The change applies to new and existing contracts in which the provider organizations have a physician service agreement for the psychiatrists delivering direct services.
