New Mexico To Implement New Approach To DD Waiver Individual Service Budgets In November 2015

The New Mexico Medicaid program is preparing to implement a new approach to developing individual service budgets in November 2015 for people receiving home- and community-based services (HCBS) through the state’s developmental disabilities (DD) waiver. There are approximately 4,500 people receiving DD Waiver Services, and about 6,000 people on the waiting list. The state will continue to use the Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) to assign the participant to a DD Waiver Group.
