Florida Medicaid Seeks Utilization Management Program For Children’s FFS Behavior Analysis Services

On August 24, 2015, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) issued an invitation to negotiate (ITN 001-15/16) seeking a behavior analysis utilization management program for Medicaid beneficiaries up to age 21. Currently AHCA reimburses for Medicaid behavior analysis services on a fee-for-service basis (FFS); behavior analysis services are not included in the Medicaid health plan capitated rates.

Proposals for ITN 001-15/16 are due by October 23, 2015. Contract announcements are anticipated by January 4, 2016. The initial contract is slated to begin on February 1, 2016 and run through January 31, 2019 . . .
