Georgia Medicaid Selects Amerigroup Georgia For Foster Care Managed Health Care Contract
On September 9, 2015, the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) announced it had selected Amerigroup Georgia for a Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) contract for the Georgia Families 360° program to coordinate care for the state’s foster care population. The contract becomes effective July 1, 2016. The Georgia Families 360° program provides care coordination of medical, behavioral, dental and vision health benefits for children in foster care, children receiving adoption assistance, and for select youth in the juvenile justice system.
