Pennsylvania Forms Nursing Home Quality Improvement Task Force In Wake Of State Lawsuit Against Nursing Home Operator Golden Senior Living

On August 5, 2015, the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) formed a nursing home quality improvement task force to identify ways the DOH can ensure that nursing homes provide quality care. The announcement came shortly after the state attorney general filed a lawsuit alleging inadequate care against 14 nursing homes operated by Golden Senior Living between 2008 and 2014. On September 9, 2015, the state attorney general amended the complaint to include 11 more facilities operated by Golden Senior Living. The company operates a total of 36 facilities in Pennsylvania.
