Oscar Health & UnitedHealthcare Added To Covered California Health Insurance Exchange Market

On July 27, 2015, Covered California, the California health insurance marketplace, announced that two new carriers—a new start-up, Oscar Insurance Corporation, and a large company, UnitedHealthcare —were selected to participate for the 2016 plan year in addition to the ten carriers that offered Covered California plans last year. The two new insurers were added to expand coverage and provide greater consumer choice.
