Nevada Approves $400,000 Payment To San Francisco To Settle Dispute Over State Hospital Out-Of-State Patient Discharge Practices

On October 13, 2015, the Nevada Board of Examiners approved paying $400,000 to the City and County of San Francisco, California as part of its settlement in a 2013 lawsuit related to Nevada’s psychiatric hospital practice of discharging patients to out-of-state destinations.
