Texas Medicaid Awards 10 STAR Kids Managed Care Contracts

On October 1, 2015, the Texas Health and Human Service Commission (HHSC) announced it had selected 10 Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) for the new Texas STAR Kids program. The STAR Kids program is a new mandatory managed care program for individuals with disabilities under the age of 21. The operational start date of the new program is slated during the fall of 2016.
